Boston Mediations/Arbitrations:
Professional services for local Mediations/Arbitrations will be billed at the flat fee rate of $10,000 per day which includes reasonable review of submissions for standard two party cases. Other matters may be charged for submission review depending upon nature of the case and the extent of the submissions. Preparation and follow-up time will be billed at the hourly rate of $650/hour. Actual expenses are billed at cost. Complex, multi-party matters presenting special circumstances may be subject to a special fee arrangement. For example complex or other exceptional cases requiring extraordinary effort may be subject to a client-discretionary premium charge for the achievement of client objectives under special circumstances.
Out of Town Mediations/Arbitrations:
Professional services for out of town Mediations/Arbitrations will be billed at the flat fee rate of $12,000 per day which includes reasonable review of submissions for standard two party cases. All other matters may be charged for submission review depending upon nature of the case and the extent of the submissions. Preparation and follow-up time will be billed at the hourly rate of $650/hour. Actual expenses are billed at cost. Complex, multi-party matters presenting special circumstances may be subject to a special fee arrangement. For example complex or other exceptional cases requiring extraordinary effort may be subject to a client-discretionary premium charge for the achievement of client objectives under special circumstances.
International Mediations/Arbitrations:
Professional services for international Mediations/Arbitrations will be based on a negotiated rate. Preparation and follow-up time will be billed at the hourly rate of US $650/hour. Actual expenses are billed at cost. Air travel is business class/first class depending on availability..
Cancellation and Rescheduling
- If mediation/arbitration sessions are canceled more than 30 days before a session, professional fees are fully refundable, except where preparation or other professional time has already been incurred.
- The parties are charged for booked time in cases canceled less than 30 days before the session unless the time can be rescheduled for another matter. Otherwise the daily fee per scheduled mediation/arbitration will be billed.
- No rescheduling fee will be charged if the sessions are rescheduled up to 30 days before the date of the session; a rescheduling fee of 50% of the applicable fee will be charged if sessions are rescheduled within 30 days of the session, unless the time can be rescheduled for another matter. Fee will be paid by party or parties requesting rescheduling.
- If a booked mediation/arbitration session is completed in less than the booked time, the actual time reserved but not used by the parties will be billed unless the time can be used to work on another matter.
Payment
All fees are due and payable upon receipt of invoice and must be paid in advance of the mediation/arbitration session.
